The Trinity Part Two

Posted: October 8, 2008 in Uncategorized

There have been many doctrinal errors involving the Trinity over the last two thousand years.  I won’t go over them all but one deserves attention and that is “modalism”, which is the belief that “God is not really three distinct persons, but only one person who appears to people in different modes at different times.”  This runs absolutely counter to the clear teachings of Scripture that I blogged about yesterday, yet it is the position taken by the author of the book “The Shack”; reason enough to stay away from it.

Why is the doctrine of the Trinity important? More on that later.
