Podcasting to the Glory of God

If you do not own an iPod then you need to repent if for no other reason then you need to redeem your commute time, workout time, etc. by downloading awesome free podcasts from iTunes.

How?

First of all, even if you don’t repent and buy a good MP3 player, please understand that iTunes is free. You can download the latest version and snag great podcasts uploaded by great ministries every week.  All you have to do is Google iTunes and you will find the download instructions.

Next, open iTunes and on your left you will see a link for podcasts…hit it…then, on your left again, you will see “Religion & Spirituality”…hit it…then, again, on your left, you will see “Christianity”…hit that one too…now you will see (on the far right) the top 25 Christian podcasts.  For my money, you can’t beat “Desiring God with John Piper” or “Mars Hill Church with Mark Driscoll” or “Truth for Life with Alistair Begg” but easily the best of the best is “The Village Church with Matt Chandler.”

Chandler is the 34-year old lead pastor of one of the fastest growing churches in America and after listening to a few of his sermons you will see why.  I especially recommend his series on “The Church.”  Download them all!

You can click on any of these ministries listed on the right and if you really dig them then you can hit the subscribe button and iTunes will automatically download the podcasts to your computer each week.

So, quit “rockin’ out” to Jason Miraz on your commute or during your workout (you should be ashamed that you are listening to such a weiner anyway!) and grow closer to God by listening to ministries that God is working through powerfully!

Agreed.. I have been listening to Matt since mid 06 and hearing him pound home the gospel week in and week out .. started resonating in my heart from the message I was hearing at the my church.. eventually I started reading the bible more and haven’t been able to put it down..

He is extremely transparent and very cognizant about his visibly at the church.. I love how humble he is before the lord..
